The areas around
lakes Chatuge,
Nottely,
Hiwassee,
Blue Ridge,
Apalachia and Ocoee (lake
at dam
Ocoee No. 1, dams & river only at
Ocoee No. 2
& Ocoee No. 3) have some of the most
beautiful scenery in the Blue Ridge mountains, and are the focus of this
site. The area is traditionally called the Hiwassee River Basin and the
lakes have a combined 569 miles of shoreline.
